[SOLVED] wifi internet connecting program
by EldonCool from LinuxQuestions.org on (#53472)
I have slackware 14.2 installed, using xfce window manager. Can someone tell me the various programs that allow you to connect to wifi of internet. I would like to try running these various programs from an Xterm to try and connect to my internet wifi connection.
The little target that xfce puts up in the top left of my display disappears after I try to connect to the wifi. Now with it gone, I have no way to try again. If I knew the name of the program I could run it from an xterm.
There are a number of programs that do this, in the past I have used about 3 different ones, and I don't remember the names of the programs. One was wicd, and that does not work. Another was network manager, but it has a different spelling that I can't remember. There was even another that I can't remember.
So what are some of these programs?
