Widevine crashes qutebrowser or Falkon
by budrz89 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#534X5)
Hi,
I am using Slackware pkgtools as my package manager. I wanted to get the latest Widevine plugin for qutebrowser or Falkon so I tryied to follow a similar build for Widevine in Archlinux with the SlackBuilds (version 14.1) Chromium as reference. However, when I ran my SlackBuilds script and installed it, qutebrowser or Falkon would freak out (constantly try to load something like 'data.txt$#2f....', some sort of garbled text at the top of the browser) and nothing would actually display. Uninstall the package and both are happy.
I know that there's an Alien build but it's not the latest version and I think Netflix wants the latest version. I know I'm probably in uncharted territory but has anyone had any success in getting the latest version working with qutebrowser or Falkon?
