Slackware64-current efi not booting
by dab1414 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5383S)
I recently reinstalled slackware64-current with full install. It worked fine for a couple of days. Now when I power it on or reboot, I get:
Code:ELILO v3.16 foe EFI/x86_64
Loading kernel vmlinuz... done
Loading file initrd.gz...util.c(line 273) read_file failed media changed
initrd.c(line 99) read image(initrd.gz) failed(probably not exact, cause it goes off screen too quick and camera doesn't want to focus)
Then laptop says boot device not found, install an operating system.
But I can go to boot order screen (pressing F9 on my laptop) and select my efi menu entry and it loads to OS just fine.
This time I setup with:
EFI partition on a thumb drive
LUKS with LVM on entire internal drive
Keyfile on thumb drive to unlock LUKS
Also just upgraded to newer kernel (5.4.35 -> 5.4.39) and same results.
Thanks for any help
