Manual Partitioning while installing Fedora 32
by Ian D from LinuxQuestions.org on (#538Q3)
I have a PC running Fedora 26. I want to change the OS to Fedora 32.
I have started the process - and found a slight discrepancy between the Install Guide and reality.
The Install Guide says that in the Installation Destination page I will have the option of clicking the "I will configure partitioning" - but in reality there was 2 choices "Custom" and "Advanced Custom". The Custom button most closely matched the description that followed.
I think that I worked out what I was supposed to do with /home - but I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong with the system /. (see attached screenshot). I clicked on / under SYSTEM on the left hand side and then entered / as the mount point. Based on the error message which appeared, I changed the File System to be EFI System Partition and opted to Reformat it. I clicked on Update Settings and then Done - but it didn't like it.
The Device Type was not selectable.
What should I do (or not do)?
