[SOLVED] Epson Stylus SX425W scanner not recognised in Fedora 32

I have a Epson Stylus SX425W printer which includes a flatbed scanner.
Up until last week, I was running Fedora 26 and the scanner worked fine.
I have just installed Fedora 32 - and now if I try to scan a document I get messages that no scanner can be found.
How can I persuade Fedora to look to the capabilities of my printer?
