How to register XMPP acount in a tor server?

How to register a XMPP account in a tor XMPP server?
The XMPP server gave its registration address like
abcdefghijkl.onion
S2S port: 123
C2S port: 124
I installed torbrowser, but the onion address is simply redirected to the normal one (out of tor network, i think).
After registering, i plan to use the account with pidgin. What does that mean?
