No s/pdif on the sound settings window

In the process of trying to fix bluetooth in my Ubuntu 18.04 system I messed something in the sound subsytem so I don't longer see S/PDIF in the sound settings (Output). I see the "Analog Output" for a plugged-in usb speaker (FM1083) and "Speakers - Built-in-Audio". I tried with alsamixer but nothing moves with the arrows. Does anybody know how to fix this?
