Help with removing xfce desktop from kali custom iso

Hello I recently made a custom kali iso with all packages I wanted, and set kali-desktop-kde as desktop environment. Now, when I compiled the iso, and booted it up, my default desktop environment is xfce, despite it not even being in list of packages when I chose to compile the iso. Now, if I try to remove it with apt and chroot, it freaks out and wants to remove all kali tools along with it.

Is there a way to remove any and all trace of xfce from my live usb?

If not, at least how can I make kde the default XSession so it boots to that, and the xfce is an option?

When I boot it up, on login screen, when selecting the desktop environment, it shows these:

-Default XSession -Plasma -Xfce session

Can I make "Default XSession" start up plasma instead of kde?latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=RCIKcE4Ntqs:iNLdYU-oJNQ:F7zBnMy latest?i=RCIKcE4Ntqs:iNLdYU-oJNQ:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=RCIKcE4Ntqs:iNLdYU-oJNQ:gIN9vFwRCIKcE4Ntqs
