Questions about PAM-free Slackware compilation
by xa0c from LinuxQuestions.org on (#53PQK)
Hi folks,
I'm going to try to compile PAM-less Slackware current. I don't have any experience in distro-hacking though, so any help is welcome.
What steps are needed to accomplish that? From what I understand, the simplified process looks like this:
1) filter out all PAM-related changes in the `slackware64-current` dir, including changes in some compressed files. Fortunately alienbob created nice scripts which can decompress all that. I think Eric will not be against using them for such purpose.
2) recompile affected packages
Looks pretty simple to be true.
