[SOLVED] Terminal using bashrc settings under root but not user in LXDE

Hi,
When I use the linux terminal under root I get all the bashrc settings - colour - aliases etc but when logged in under User I don't. The .bashrc file in in the root directory but no in my home directory. Just wondering how I can fix this.
