Should Slackware Live Edition on USB be able to boot in Secure Boot mode?
by philip0 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#53WH0)
When I attempt to boot off of a usb created by iso2usb.sh as described in
https://docs.slackware.com/slackware:liveslak
and select the usb drive, I see a boot message, something like "checking media", and then the screen blanks and defaults to the hard drive boot options.
In my experience this correlates with USB boot media not being Secure Boot capable.
1. Should the Live edition be Secure Boot capable? Do I need to do anything to make it so?
2. Is it necessary to turn off Secure Boot in the BIOS?
I'm new to Slackware but fairly familiar with RedHat/Fedora.
Best regards,
Philip
