How to use Evolution email

Hi,
I've recently installed Linux Mint Cinnamon and all has gone well. But when I downloaded Evolution, and tried to complete the email form, I was asked for my present email address. This I haven't got.
So I think my question is 'how do I approach Evolution to explain my difficulty' or, what can I do to start up a new email account with address?
