Duplicate UUIDs for partitions for CentOS 8 VMs from an ova template
by JockVSJock from LinuxQuestions.org on (#54ATB)
I've knew this was an issue and wanted to see how others can get around this.
I'm automating a CentOS 8 lab in VirtualBox 6.1 with an ova template.
When I created two CentOS 8 VMs, they had unique mac addresses, however I used LVM for partitions and they have the same UUID.
I think there is a manual way of fixing this, however was wondering if there was a way to fix this from the template level or another way of automating this so when I spin up a new VM from a template, and if I were to use LVM, the UUIDs will be unique.
thanks
