wlan0 showing in iwconfig and airmon-ng as well, however it isn't showing in ifconfig, but my internet connection works.

My wireless adapter is connected and working. Devices tab shows that I am connected to the adapter, I have internet connection and the browser is working fine. "ifconfig" shows only "etho" and "lo" but no "wlan0". "iwconfig" displays wlan0 and "airmon-ng" shows that my device is connected and working as well. If I attempt to wlan0 down, it works without error, but doesn't disconnect the internet. As well, wlan0 up gives me an error. When changing my MAC address, I do not need to bring wlan0 down. If I use "ifconfig wlan0 hw ether" and input my new address, it works and "ifconfig wlan0" displays the new MAC*address that I have input, without having to wlan0 down and then back up. So internet connection is working, I can change MAC address, I can switch to monitor mode and wlan0 displays in "iwconfig" and "airman-ng" but does not show up in "ifconfig". The problem this presents is that when I try to use "airodump-ng wlan0" it tells me "no such file or directory" "Failed initializing wireless card: wlan0" and does not show me local networks. I am not sure what to do to fix this, and after searching pages and forums on the internet, I have not found any advice or any other example of anyone having this issue, to help me troubleshoot. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have screenshots available to anyone who may be able to help and would like a visual of what my terminal looks like as I try to work through this.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=Nz6DcAg_BQo:dIiWNuKg5gk:F7zBnMy latest?i=Nz6DcAg_BQo:dIiWNuKg5gk:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=Nz6DcAg_BQo:dIiWNuKg5gk:gIN9vFwNz6DcAg_BQo
