Man dead, woman critically injured after vehicle falls into Welland Canal

A 28-year-old woman who was trapped inside the vehicle managed to escape and swim to shore where she was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries, say police. The driver was found around 8:30 a.m. and pronounced dead.
