Dolphin edit file icon

Hi,
I've recently successfully installed Dolphin (FM) in Mint - Cinnamon DT.
However, though I can change the icon for any folder in my drive, the icon-edit option for a file - normally click on current icon in Properties - doesn't respond at all. Link-file icons won't edit either.
To get the folder icon-edit working (as not using kde desktop) I had to install a couple of KDE files in synaptic, as advised on another now forgotten forum!
Any advice on further file(s) I might need to install, gratefully received.
