Wanted federal offender may be in Hamilton

The provincial repeat offender parole enforcement (ROPE) squad is looking for a wanted federal offender who may be in the Hamilton area.

Sara Powless is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for allegedly breaching her statutory release, police said.

The 35-year-old is serving a two-year sentence for cause bodily harm by criminal negligence, two counts of drug possession and failing to attend court.

She is described as an Indigenous woman, who is five-foot-five, weighs 122 pounds, and has brown hair and green eyes.

Powless is known to frequent the Hamilton, St. Thomas and North Bay areas.
