Remmina RDP for Slackware from SBo
by wdarledge from LinuxQuestions.org on (#54SXH)
i am on Slackware 14.2, kernel 5.4.17-smp
I am STILL.... 5weeks later, trying to install Remmina for the Google/Coursera class I am taking online. I'm sure most would have given up by now but, I have a burning desire to 'not let this one go' especially if the Google IT Support Pro certification can help me land work in 2021!
I have attached the terminal screens from the folders I have been working in:
./Downloads
./tmp
from SlackBuild.org or SBo I have downloaded and installed:
json-glib
vala
pcre2
opus
spice
spice-protocol
six
pyparsing
ffmpeg
freerdp
libsodium -- all have installed just fine.
Still required to run remmina:
spice-gtk
vte3 --- both have "run-time" errors as seen in one of the attachments and
in the #code# boxes below....
Code:ffmpeg
ffmpeg.tar.gz
freerdp

bash-5.0#when I run ./vte3.SlackBuild
i get this error....
Code:^Cmake[3]: *** [/usr/share/vala/Makefile.vapigen:61: vte-2.91.vapi] Interrupt
make[2]: *** [Makefile:448: all-recursive] Interrupt
make[1]: *** [Makefile:574: all-recursive] Interrupt
make: *** [Makefile:481: all] Interrupt
bash-5.0# ^C
bash-5.0#Pretty much the same thing happens when I run -
./spice-gtk.SlackBuild
in the ~/#Downloads/spice-gtk folder
So.... any ideas of what I can do to finish killing this bear with a Bowie
knife and some really good boots..... ???
thanks,
