does ISP greetings data contain any useful data

I have taken the local telco to court, representing myself, for advertising ADSL availability somewhere where it was not and creating a fair bit of damage in the process as I moved to a different address for that purpose only and lost the Internet connection I had. It seems the telco has been in a hurry to destroy the metadata relating to my account before I could use it in court.

I wonder if among the greetings issued by the telco or any ISP there is common data that all would have to pass to a new customer and would leave traces in the metadata, if only the setting up of the modem or "gateway" as they call it. I only need one to prove my case.

My claim in court has been that the telco created a database in my name at the time I subscribed to their service which they accepted, but that because their technician was unable to connect me to the Internet (no "spare port" at their exchange he said), that database or file has remained empty (received no metadata) all the time and that it had become a proof that the connection was never made which created the urgency to delete the empty file supposed to hold the metadata.

Any comment welcome.
