Change homedir of realmjoined CentOS Server to Active Directory

Hello!

I have joined CentOS Server to a Active Directory.

Now I would like to remove the domain name in the homedir for all current users and for all new users. Is there a way to do that?

I tried to add the homedir_override variable in the sssd.conf file, but then I got all sorts of erros when trying to login to the server with a current user, and when I tried to chmod the new homedir I did not have permission to do that, either as root or as the user.

So, is there a way to change the current homedir of an Active Directory user in CentOS?
