After a Kubuntu update, Kubuntu can’t reboot
by vmelkon from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5548W)
Hello,
I have Kubuntu 18.04.4 LTS.
Does it happen sometimes to you that when Kubuntu does an update, it wants a reboot.
The problem is, when you click Start -> Leave -> Reboot
some thing crashes and it does not reboot.
The only way to reboot seems to be to open a terminal and type shutdown -r
Is this something that can be fixed?
This doesn't happen after every update. Some updates want a reboot and I am able to reboot but on a rare occasion, there is a failure to reboot.
