What is the best OS Server in your opinion, to install the following server softwares?
by cesarsj from LinuxQuestions.org on (#554J8)
We have:
.Zabbix Server (frontend and database on the same server, and we don't use Zabbix Proxy yet)
.Samba (for NAS)
.backup servers (storages, where the main programs used are rsync and ftpd),
.and LDAP,
all installed on servers with OS Slackware, some 14.1, others 14.2.
However, as the programs evolve and the stable version of Slackware seems to be a little slow on releases, it may be better to migrate to another OS. Which do you indicate for which or which of the mentioned software and why? Ubuntu Server 20.04? CentOS 8?
