How do you resolve: Ext. Hard Drive (/dev/sba2) not found/does not exist.

I was wondering if it would help help to upgrade to Linux Mint 20 (Cinnamon) and run the .iso from the beginning, (like it was a fresh install?) Would that help to make /dev/sba2 "visible" in the terminal?
