Stewart and Lisa Halley thought they were being scammed.

But, after the Burlington couple checked their Lotto Max ticket and learned they matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the June 19, 2020 LOTTO MAX draw, they realized they won $100,000.

We checked using Stewart's phone and then we did a happy dance in the living room," Lisa said, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect their cheque. Stewart was stunned, he never thought we'd win a big amount," she smiled.

The parents of two sons have been planning home renovations, but now intend to start a bit sooner. They are also planning to travel when possible.

That day I felt so relaxed. The stress from the pandemic melted away a bit because this win allowed us to be in the moment. It was a weird feeling," Lisa said.

The OLG Prize Centre in Toronto has resumed in-person prize claims for winning-ticket holders of $50,000 or more by-appointment only.

The winning ticket was purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on Lakeshore Road in Burlington.
