This past week curb lanes have been cordoned off on streets across a large swath of the city, allowing restaurants and bars new patio space. They're part of the CafeTO program and, hopefully, enough to keep these businesses going a while longer. On evening walks this week the sound of the city has been a revelation: vibrant human life after months of silence.
