Battery is not charging
by albert65 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#56094)
Dear All,
I installed Enterprise RedHat 7.7 few days ago on Lenovo M30-70 laptop.
Everything is fine except battery status - the battery does not work.
Indicator shows 0% all the time.
It looks like there is no battery at all, although:
>>> upower -i `upower -e | grep 'BAT'`
native-path: BAT1
vendor: LENOVO
model: PABAS*******
serial: ******
power supply: yes
updated: Mon 20 Jul 2020 18:53:57 (13 seconds ago)
has history: yes
has statistics: yes
battery
present: yes
rechargeable: yes
state: charging
warning-level: none
energy: 0 Wh
energy-empty: 0 Wh
energy-full: 26.86 Wh
energy-full-design: 26.64 Wh
energy-rate: 0 W
voltage: 4.511 V
percentage: 0%
capacity: 100%
technology: lithium-ion
icon-name: 'battery-caution-charging-symbolic'
With one of the previous versions of RedHat there was no such an issue,
however, I did use the laptop for while until recently.
I am wondering how to make the battery functional again.
