Linux mint 20 freezes when booted from external HD via USB

Hello everyone,
Forgive me, but I'm not good at English !!
I recently installed linux Mint 20 on an external hard drive via USB, but every time you start the system from that hard drive it freezes and crashes !!!
I tested this HD on my lap and it normally booted !!!
Does anyone know or can run the external hard drive via USB.
