2020 - Wireguard over OpenVPN right?

I find myself needing to VPN into my home network. I just wanted to do a quick sanity check before I dive in. Wireguard is the preferred method now? In terms of speed, reliability and ease of use/config Wireguard is the one right?

I'm curious, will iOS/Android be able to connect to a Wireguard VPN?
