Why can I not be able to type in any numbers after I signed in my passwords that does numbers?

I have recently downloaded linux mint about 2 weeks ago on a laptop that had Windows 7. I had notice that as days went on I was having issues typing. I thought it was myself hitting the mouse pad by accident. I would be in a middle of a paragraph and when I go to look at my last sentence I caught myself typing words on previous sentences. This past weekend I was having problems trying to keep the pointer on anything I needed to click on. Now I can't type numbers. It will allow me to type my password after starting or restarting my laptop but afterwards it will not let me. I thought this occurred only on Firefox, but there was a Linux update, it required my password and I couldn't type the numeric of my password.
I also thought that it was my laptop so I took the hard drive from my laptop and made it as an external drive. I tried it on a different laptop and I got the same results. Can someone tell me what to do?latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=bkWQ7bLCX3c:S0qiAXD4JF0:F7zBnMy latest?i=bkWQ7bLCX3c:S0qiAXD4JF0:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=bkWQ7bLCX3c:S0qiAXD4JF0:gIN9vFwbkWQ7bLCX3c
