Hello from a Web & Service Servers Engineer!

Hi all!

I'd used Ubuntu/Linux in various parts of my career, but I've never used it as my daily driver until last November or so. I've been happily running on Pop_OS with a Darter Pro, and very happy I made the switch! Since switching, I've felt much less intimated by CLIs, and can do way more with VIm when working remotely on servers hosted in the Cloud (or on prem at work).

I'm currently employed as a systems engineer/administrator working with Windows servers and Citrix load balancers (in healthcare). While my focus isn't on Linux there, I have my fair share of Linux exposure through that role, since we have access to Ubuntu systems to work on development, and load balancing is one of my core focuses.

I'd had awesome professors in college who were big supporters of Open Source (Linux, Git, VIm) technologies, and I couldn't be more thankful for them to help me shape the perspective I currently hold in support of Open source. I've realized how great the support of those communities are :)

Anyways, I'm super excited to continue learning more about Linux, and hope to make a hobby (and even a career in DevOps) out of it in the long-term!

Cheers,
