emacs crashes for me with latest slackware-current64

With the July 31st updates to slackware64-current, my emacs crashes with a segfault when launched as a X11 application (but not as a console application). It worked fine up to (and including) the July 29th updates, so it can't be anything to do with emacspeak. Furthermore it only happens on x86_64. With 32 bit slackware-current it works fine.
Rebuilding emacs does not help, but reverting libX11-1.6.9-x86_64-1.txz resolves the issue. This is possibly an issue with my system as I have a number of non-standard packages installed. Can anyone else reproduce this?
