Powerdevil configuration question

KDE's powerdevil sounds like a great idea... if I'm running KDE on a laptop. But on a desktop it's not really what I need or want.
Is there a way to disable it completely?
I've tried going into Desktop Preferences and disabling everything that looks like power management yet, post-changes, there are still powerdevil processes running when I check again.
Apparently, the means of turning it off is well-hidden. But where?
TIA for any hints...
