how do you organize your small data media?

I like using memory cards (SD, that is) for storage; but the problem is their size. They're too small to be written on or otherwise labeled, and they often look the same. You can't look at several in a drawer and tell them apart, whether or not they're kept in their clear plastic cases.
This generally also applies to flash drives. There's a little more room in which you could theoretically write, but it's still not conducive to labeling. One of the main reasons to retain optical discs as media is that they're easily identifiable due to an ample surface area. I can glance at one and see what I wrote on it.
How do you handle organizing your SD cards or flash drives when you can't label them? Do you just...put up with not knowing what's on them until after you insert them?
