Ryzen 5 1600x + B450 MB Questions.

Hi all, so my x99 motherboard decided to commit suicide last night. This is the second x99 board in 6 years that have died on me. Used x99 boards on ebay are going for a ridiculous amount, so I decided to just buy a used 1600x and a B450. After I sell my 5930k on eBay I should be able to recoup most of the cost since I got the CPU and board for so cheap. I am reading various threads about Ryzen and Slackware, it looks like ill be better off moving to -current from what I am reading. Is there anything I should be aware of once I get to install Slackware on this combo? I'll only have this computer for a few months since I plan on building an all new new system when Zen 3 is released
