Special flight carrying 190 people skids off runway while landing in heavy rain and breaks in two
A special flight carrying evacuees to India who had been stranded abroad because of the coronavirus skidded off a runway and split in two while landing in heavy rain in the southern state of Kerala, killing at least 16 passengers and injuring 123 more.
The Air India Express had flown from Dubai with 190 passengers and crew and landed at Kozhikode, also known as Calicut, on Friday.
