Blackhawks best Oilers in 4 games, advance to round of 16
The Chicago Blackhawks have advanced to the round of 16 with a 3-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 4 on Friday.
Blackhawks rookie Dominik Kubalik fired home the game-winning goal midway through the third period for his third tally of the series. Netminder Corey Crawford made 43 saves, including 20 in the third frame to seal the win.
Oilers forward Josh Archibald opened the scoring just 45 seconds into the game, but the Blackhawks retook the lead ahead of the first intermission on goals from Brandon Saad and Matthew Highmore.
Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews continued his strong play with two assists to finish with a team-high seven points in the series.
