[SOLVED] Turning swap off at system shutdown.

Slackware64 current (July 2020).
Kernel 5.4.50
Hi: I have no swap space, either as a dedicated partition or as a file. If I issue 'swapon -s' the output, of course, is null. However, when turning the machine off I can see a message saying the swap is being turned off! How can this be?
