Car crashes through fence on Hamilton Mountain

Queensdale Avenue East was closed at Upper Sherman Avenue just after 5 p.m. on Thursday night for an accident investigation.

Police and firefighters closed the intersection on Aug. 13, 2020, after a black car collided with a fence in the parking lot of the FirstOntario Credit Union automated teller machine. The car continued through the fence and struck a neighbouring home.

An officer at the scene directed onlookers to keep their distance, as the car also damaged a natural gas meter.

Police closed Queensdale east of Upper Sherman and blocked access to the parking lot.

The road reopened shortly after 7 p.m.
