Diminishing the time after which the touchpad responds.

Slackware64-current (july 2020)
Kernel 5.4.50
Hi: This is a laptop. When typing I may accidentally touch the touchpad (tp) with my thumbs which is
rather annoying due to the effects this may have. In some OSes if you do this the tp won't
immediately respond. There is an initial time interval during which the tp just doesn't
respond but, after which, it begins to move the cursor. Alright. Let's call this interval
the threshold. This is intentionally done in order to avoid annoying the user with unexpected
effects (anything can happen). Well, in slackware the threshold is
equal to zero or, at least, that is the default configuration. And this is precisely my
question. Can the threshold be modified or changed in slackware64-current?
