Properly installing nvidia driver files fron SlackBuilds.org?

What is the correct method for installing the nvidia 340.108 driver files from SlackBuilds so that they function properly? When I try to do a direct install of the driver from the nvidia website, it tends to delete files that some of the other SlackBuild files require (I got the drivers from SlackBuild to work once, but I don't remember right off hand how I did it) so being able to have the correct method printed out would be a big help. Thanks in advance.
