Report: NFL considering fan sound in stadiums

The NFL is considering a policy that would allow fan sound to be heard in stadiums, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The league permitted each team to determine its own attendance policy for this season in accordance with local COVID-19 guidelines. Most clubs announced limited-capacity stadium plans that usually won't host fans for the first month.

However, there are exceptions. The Las Vegas Raiders and the Washington Football Team decided to play without fans for the entire year, while the Kansas City Chiefs will use about 22% of Arrowhead Stadium's capacity in their season opener against the Houston Texans on Sept. 10.

The NFL is also reportedly considering adding virtual fans to games.
