3D house tours are the perfect medium for horror

You've doubtless seen the tacky 3D house tours on real estate listings: crude, badly-coded gamelike experiences similar to Myst, garnished with bad user interfaces and enragingly inoffensive music. What if one of those house tours was of a bad house? Corpsepile's The Open House offers a 3D house tour of a perfectly normal suburban abode. Just... don't look at it.

We at Northtree Real Estate (in partnership with Optix Dynamix Labs) are proud to present our new, state-of-the-art, open house simulator! Come and take a quick tour of 15615 Hollow Oak Lane, a familiar and comfortable showcase home in one of our premier developments

There's way too much text to click through at the beginning - a joke about how awful real estate widgets are - but the tour itself is easily nagivated and manages to keep raising the stakes. Next up from the same author is Routine, a more polished and insinuating House Horror experience.
