Brother printer

I installed a Brother HL-2140 printer on Zorin OS 15. After installation the test page in terminal mode printed. Writer and PDF docs will not print. The Settings menu indicates that the HL-2140 is installed, but Brother's uninstall instructions say that it cannot be removed. Any advice??
