Netgear modems that can certain block outgoing traffic?

***Yikes, I made a few errors in the title, but most important, I'm looking for either a router, or a router+DSL modem***
The router I have is older than dirt and is beginning to misbehave, so I need to replace it. I've always been partial to Netgear modems, and would like to remain with them.
I also have some cheapo IP cameras that I have yet to hook up. I'd bet my little pinky that they can and do could either transmit data back to the country of manufacture, or at least have some backdoor access (I found port 22 open on them already, I cannot close it, and the mnfgr won't tell me the password - that'd be assuming I could even reset it on the camera...).
All this is a longhand version of saying that whatever new Netgear router I purchase, I really need it to be able to block specific outgoing web traffic. I'd love to be able to block by LAN IP, but I guess if there are other methods, that may work, too.
I've reached out to Netgear but haven't had any response, so I figured I would post here. Anyone have any guidance / experience with a router that allows for customized outbound traffic restriction?
Thanks!
