HP Pavilion 10x2 64GB random freeze in Xubuntu 20.04

AS description, it freezes after between 10 minutes and about an hour's use. Previously it had Xubuntu 18.04 installed with no problems (I sometimes had it powered on all day). I believe the problem is related to 5.x Kernels, and maybe the sound as there was no sound in 18.04 as I know that audio drivers was not available for this device until 5.x kernels. It's not an Ubuntu problem, as I've tried several other distros with a 5.x kernel (Fedora, PCLinuxOS, Gecko, Absolute) with the same result. I've also tried BSD but that won't boot.
