The Philadelphia Eagles and tight end Zach Ertz have re-engaged for contract extension talks, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Eagles' leading pass-catcher in 2019 is currently signed through 2021 after inking a five-year, $42.5-million extension in January 2016.

Ertz has amassed at least 70 receptions and 800 receiving yards in each of the last five seasons. That includes a 2018 campaign with 116 catches, 1,163 yards, and eight touchdowns when he set the single-season tight end receptions record.

The three-time Pro Bowler has led the Eagles in receiving each year since 2016, and he leads all tight ends since 2018 with 291 targets.

The tight end market has been reset this offseason after the 49ers' George Kittle and the Chiefs' Travis Kelce signed the most lucrative deals ever at the position.
