After the emergence of a racy photo and allegations of a racy lifestyle, Jerry Falwell Jr. quit his post as president of Liberty University late monday.
Falwell made it official after flip-flopping back and forth all day, first promising to resign, then rescinding the offer, and finally making it official.
Things have changed now, but Trump's blatantly amoral and unchristian lifestyle did not initially endear him to the religious right and Falwell was key among early evangelical supporters. Speculation about blackmail is rife.
