Report: Chargers' Williams expected to miss 2-4 weeks with shoulder sprain
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams is expected to miss two-to-four weeks due to a shoulder sprain, a source told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Head coach Anthony Lynn said Williams's status is uncertain for the Chargers' season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sept. 13, according to Pelissero.
Williams left practice Sunday with his right arm hanging. Reports suggested he was initially considered week-to-week.
The 25-year-old racked up 49 receptions for 1,001 yards and two touchdowns through 15 games in 2019 and led the NFL with 20.4 yards per catch.
Selected seventh overall by Chargers in 2017, Williams missed six games due to injury in his rookie campaign and was sidelined for one contest last year with a knee issue.
