Debian 10 - can't install complilers

Debian 10 installed from commercial USB. Not sure of comlplete install?
Problem: unable to install compilers.
Actions/results:
entered 'apt-get install build-essentials' results
following pkgs installed: binutulils +++: Suggested Pkgs ++++: New Pkgs will be installed ++++: Do you want to continue ? [Yes/no]
Enter (=Yes): Result:
Media change: Please insert disk labeled ...DVD Binary-1 ... in the drive "/media/cdrom' and press [Enter].
Problem: don't have a disk, USB is in. ????
Problem: what can I do to compelet the compiler installs. ???
