A mini van was left stacked over the hood of a much smaller hatchback in a multi-vehicle collision that backed up several blocks of traffic on the Mountain and sent one person to hospital Wednesday afternoon.
Hamilton Paramedic Services Supt. Dave Thompson said four cars were involved in the collision on Upper James Street, between Twenty Road East and Alderlea Avenue, at 2:55 p.m.
The crash was sparked by one car which struck another at the intersection of Upper James and Twenty, Thompson said. Two other vehicles were damaged in the process.
Thompson said one person was sent to hospital with minor injuries.
